Şükrü Ayalan is Board Member and Deputy Chairman
(Public Relations) of the Justice and Development
Party (AK Parti). On November 3rd, 2002 he was
elected as a member of the Turkish Grand National
Assembly, representing Tokat.
He
received his B.S. in Medical School from the İzmir
Dokuz Eylül University in 1988. He started to work
in the Medical School of Ankara University. In the
same year, he won the scholarship given by the
Academic Exchange Center of the Foreign Ministry of
Austria, and he went to Vienne.
In
November 1988 he started to work in the Psychiatry
Clinic of the Medical School of the Vienne
University as an assistant doctor.
He
conducted research on the adaptation and behavioral
problems of the families and the children of Turkish
Workers. In Turkey, he did research in the field of
social psychiatry aimed at finding out the
psychiatric problems of different socio-economic and
cultural groups.
He
worked as a specialist in psychiatry in the public
hospitals of İzmir, Turhal and Tokat. He is a member
of the Union of Turkish Medical Doctors.
He
is representing the Turkish Grand National Assembly
in the Turkish Group of the Parliamentary Assembly
of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in
Europe.
Mr. Ayalan was born in 1963. (Tokat). He is married,
and has four children.
