Bülent Gedikli is Co-founder, Board Member and Deputy Chairman (Administrative and Financial Affairs) of the Justice and Development Party (AK Parti). On November 3rd, 2002 he was elected as a member of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, representing Ankara.

He received a B.S. in Economics from the Ankara University in 1985. He received his M.A. in ‘Finance and Banking’ from the Northeastern University of the US after attending a stagiarre programme between 1992-1994

In 1985 he started to work in the Review Committee of the Ministry of Finance and he was appointed to the Ministry as an Inspector in 1989. He was appointed as the Head of Inspectors of the Ministry of Finance. He became the advisor to the Minister of Finance between June- October 1996. Following his position at the Ministry he was appointed as Deputy General Director of Incomes General Directory. He became Deputy Head of the Review Committee in 1998. He wrote his PhD thesis on “Quality on Administration of Public Expenditures-Transformation to the Performans Based Budget in Turkey”.

He resigned from his government mission in 2000 and began to work for private sector. He worked as a certified public accountant for a while.

He was born in 1964 (Trabzon). He is married with 3 children.
